What Have I Been Doing?

Not that many of you care, but I'll tell you anyways!

Well, a LOT of shopping and coming home crashing with sore legs and feet. :) A lot of subway hopping, walking, looking, shopping. We went to Itaewon which is a beautiful city, and Insadong again, Kyobo books, Namdaemun. It's been a great time. I GOT MORE CLOTHES. YES! :) And an awesome leather jacket today.

Anyways, I have to get up early tomorrow. We are leaving for Gyeongju...we will be meeting my brother's entire birth family (except for my other favorite cousin!) and going to the recreational facility owned by the uncle's company. It's gonna be AWESOME! And then we'll be going back to Daejeon for a couple of days to chill. :)

All in all, some awesome times. And still two weeks to go!!!!

More later. :)

Love ya,

Shopping and Dropping

So basically I'm wiped out. These past couple of days I've been sleeping through meals (sorry Camille!) or just cranky (which my parents don't like...but I don't really care if they don't like it).

The weekend was great, we got to see a lot of my brother's family, and then they left to Daejeon. Yesterday, my parents and I went to Insadong, a really old, culturally traditional part of Korea to shop for Kat and Libby, and our selves, and got some really awesome things! :) I got some more clothes, FINALLY a new bag (mine fell apart...) and some other stuff. My mom got some hanji paper and stuff, and my dad got tea. Haha. Which I ordered for him. Along with the food. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING.
We went to Mandu King (liberty of Libby) and they had mandu the SIZE of your fists! It was sooo cool. They put it in this spicy broth with egg, onion, meat, etc. It was really really good...except I didn't have a lot of the mushrooms. And then I ordered Bulgogi Jeongshik which came in a stone bowl, it was bulgogi and green onions in a broth, and I mixed rice in. It was suuuper good and had a really sweet flavor which my mom and I loved.

Anyways, today, I'm not really sure what we'll be doing! :) I think we're going to the museum, so this should be fun!!! :)

We are going to Gyeongju Thursday morning! I'm soooo excited! The WHOLE family will be there! Along with my other favorite cousin who I haven't seen yet (if he's not studying). So it should be really fun! I'm going to play the Uncle in tennis and 현정 (my other favorite girl cousin) and I are going to swimming! I'm also planning on running every morning! :) Hehe. I'm suuuper excited! And then we'll be going to Daejeon with them on Saturday, then Busan two days later, and after staying in Busan for four days, we'll be going back to Daejeon for the rest of the time! :)

All and all, this'll be a pretty nice trip. Just long...too long. I'm missing my certain someone much too much. I'll be home soon, though!! :)

Have an awesome week!

FML

I HATE this...I can't stop crying....

IDC

I just don't care anymore. And this is an indulgent blog post...not anything on Korea. 'Cause I"m sitting here crying and I'm just fed up and hurt and upset. And I want it all to stop...

No one understands at all...and it sucks because it leaves me with nothing. I have C&T but that's it....which is good, but I'm still...god. I just still don't know what to do.

Oh well. Hopefully answers will come soon.

So I started a fire...

So I started a fire yesterday...in the microwave at Eastern. :) Hells yeah, I'm proud. (But not really...it was pretty scary, actually...)

Anyways, my mom and I are going shopping! She's going to Joy Jewelry and they have great stores around there. Maybe I'll get a couple dresses, make-up...ya know the whole shebang. :)
And then after that, Alexander's mom's side of the family, a few of them are coming. And then we're going to the grandmother's house to hang out and have lunch and everything! :)

There was also a mix-up...the oldest aunt thought Alexander was coming back to Daejeon with them...soooo, Alexander's going to Daejeon, and won't be staying with us in Seoul or Gyeongju.  This'll get interesting....
But I get to see my favorite cousin today!!!!  Her name is 현정 and she's...two years younger than I am! (But still hella taller!) Haha. And hopefully I'll get to see my other favorite cousin soon! Definitely in Daejeon though, because we'll be staying at his house! His name is 호성 and he's a year older than Alexander. :) It's going to be soooo coool!!!!

I'm really excited for today!!!

More later! I've gotta eat breakfast and get ready. :)
OH! I also got my hair done!!!  Permed and cut. So now it's a little more than shoulder-length , and I have bangs!! I like it a lot. :)

What Is This Feeling?

So now true excitement is setting in.  I'm still very people sick and it's very humid here for only 85 degrees, but I'm just excited to be here! :)
My day so far:
-Get off plane
-Go through "border control"/gets passports checked
-Baggage claim
-Customs (easy!)
-Get cell phone (for my parents)
-Get picked up and driven to Eastern Social Welfare Society (ESWS); that's the place where we'll be staying at for a week.  :)
-Get luggage into rooms
-Go down the hall to the nursery so we can hold, feed and just stay with cute adorable babies.  It was a really cool experience.  I don't know why, but this time it hit me more...I was in Eastern for 2 months as a baby, and while I was holding these little adorable bundles of crying, drooling joy, it was emotional because there are so many of them.  People are trying to shut down Korean adoption, but it's also like, I was once in here and someone hopefully held me and sang to me.  And it was just....emotional.
-Go to a small restaurant called: 김밥 세상.  It had really good food, and the woman remembered me from a while ago.  :)
-Grocery shopping
-Back at Eastern, desperately needing sleep but doing this instead! :)

Tomorrow I'll hopefully talk to Alex and then at 11 we have a meeting with Alexander's foster mother.  And at 4, a meeting and dinner following that with his birth father.  :)  So it'll be a pretty packed day!  Hopefully with a TINY bit of shopping, too!  ;)

I'm headed off to bed now!  Waking up early. :)

Miss you guys!!

Waiting...

So here I am right now...in the chcago airport waiting for us to board. :)
Not much to report. I'm tired, but I have a 14 hour flight ahead of me. So....I've got time. :)

Anyways, i'm listening to KiD CuDi and texting Alex right now. Makin me happy. :)

Hope everyones doing great!

Love you all!

Dear John

Ok...number one rule of travel: never watch Dear John when you're missing your boyfriend who's halfway around the world. It sucks and makes you cry in front of strangers who start to whisper all about you in Korean. Yay!
Haha but really...I still have about 3 hours left. I'm....I dunno. It's beter than last time!!! I have my own tv and a bunch of movies that are actually good! Haha and the food in Korean Air is always best. I still can't help to feel super anxious and just downright sad at times. Not exactly homesick because I do prefer anywhere but my home, but more like people sick!
Anyways, happiness! I'm sitting next to this adorable kid who calls me 누나 which is the name for 'older sister' from a boy. Haha. I had some really good conversations with him and his mom.
That's about it for now...listening to music and gonna keep watching movies soon. It passes time really quickly, considering I only slept for about 30 minutes so far. :)

Have a good day!
See you soon.

My Agenda

So here I am...It's like, 3 in the morning and I'm just going to sleep now. I'm proud. I'm done packing, crying, but still am pretty anxious and have a list of things i've gotta do.

List:
-double check packing
-shower
-NFTY
-call/leave a video for Alex
-toiletries packing
-carry on and purse packing

So I'm semi busy along with bring anxious, sleep deprived and excited. I've decided that for dinner my family and I will be finding a restaurant in Seoul (not that hard) and get 삼겹살. It's one of my favorite dishes. Camille? You're in for a treat!
But yes, I have a lot to do. So I'll be waking up in about 1.5 hours and doing all that. Also remembering gifts for people and such.
Anywhoooo, my brain is currently fried and I'm worn out a bit. And I don't want to get sick on the plane ride....again. (It happened the last time we went). So this is all for now! Excitement+anxiety+sleep deprivation. I'll survive. God knows I've been down this road before! :)

Everyone have a wonderful night and I'll write more later. :)

Testing 1 2 3

Howdy. So I'm just testing how this works as an app on my iPod. So here it is!

Packing & Lacking

So here's the deal.  I have....17.5 hours.  Approximately.  Until we get into that taxi to leave for Korea.  And I'm sitting here eating salsa and chips. Hehe. And ya know what?  I'm not worried about it at all.  OH! And my dad's about to get me hot chocolate.
On my agenda is working on NFTY, and wishing to see Alex.  But I'm also working on packing.  I just have to do: towels and toiletries.  EASY.

But I'm only semi-stressed.  And excited.  And scared, still. It's kinda like that numbing feeling where it doesn't feel real yet.  For me, it isn't real until I get BACK from wherever I am.  :)  Oh well.  Maybe it'll help ease the nerves if I'm numb the entire time.

I'M SO EXCITED FOR FOOOOOOOOOD!!!  Hahaha.  It'll be fantastic.  Home-cooked half the time, barbecue and cool restaurants the other half.  And shopping.  AND ICE CREAM!  Patbingsu at Haagen-Dazs is absolutely amazing.  :)  And Samgeyopsal.  FANTASTIC.  So excited.  Camille, you're in for a treat!  :)

Anyways, there'll be more later.  Probably not until I land tomorrow. :)

Dedication

Welcome.  To my blog.  :)

So, this is my traveling blog.  I'm about to go to South Korea on Wednesday.  The taxi comes at 6:45 AM.  I'm incredibly worried, excited, anxious and just plain happy.  I'm going to miss everyone but promise to see you soon!  It's three weeks.  It's not that long.  At least, that's what I keep trying to tell myself. Hehe. :)

Right now it's just pretty stressful.  But that's alright.  I'm working hard on things...NFTY.

Alex, I will miss you very very much.  :)  I'll see you soon, my love.

That's all for now.  Yeah.  Pretty nothing.  :)
